   Hello Jesse, I watched your documentary for the establishment of the Sitgreaves County Project, NADA. Was your choice for the new county name chosen because the area is in the “APACHE/SITGREAVES NATIONAL FOREST”?
   I’ve been investigating my ancestry and found that Lorenzo Sitgreaves, a WEST POINT,NY graduate was a topographical engineer that developed maps in Arizona. Do you have any further information pertaining to the name SITGREAVES?

      I do not, but Lorenzo Sitgreaves is whom the Sitgreaves forest is named!
